April 12, 2012 – Sooo Pinoy Food Tour Day 2 in Cebu – Previous Post : Port Restaurant Cebu.
If you will ask a local for any casual dining BBQ restaurant then you’ll probably get AA BBQ as recommendation. The restaurant is known for their flavor-intense grilled foods in not so crowded food court surroundings with other options that is interesting and fun!
Sizzling Bangus
Just like other Sugba / Ihaw-Ihaw Dampa Style restaurants, you will be the one to choose which food that you want them to cook. Several choices of food are available like pork, chicken and sea foods.
Crispy Hot Squid
I’m a huge fan of stir fried noodles that’s why when they served Bam-i, I was really delighted. Bam-i is a famous Cebuano noodle dish made with a combination of canton (egg noodles) and sotanghon (vermicelli or bean thread noodles) mixed with a number of vegetables and spices.
Sinugbang Bangus
The featured dish they served is Crispy Hot Squid, a squid cut into small julienne cut, deep fried to make it crispy then garnished with chili, black pepper and lots of onions.
Spicy Cebu Chorizo
We also had refreshing fruit twister, an orange based drink with bits of fresh tropical fruits. Their Spicy Chorizo barbeque was tasty and was well cooked. I wish I can have a hotdog bun so I can make my own Chori Burger:) I like their foil wrapped Sinugbang Bangus – the bangus was grilled while covered by a foil to avoid burnt taste and to have it cooked evenly.
Mango Platter
They also served Sizzling Bangus, a boneless bangus with steak sauce served in a sizzling plate. We really had a great dining experienced at AA BBQ. I will surely go back to this place next time I visit Cebu.
