Mooon Cafe Cebu : Sooo Pinoy Food Trip na Pilipinas!

Mooon Cafe is a popular Mexican inspired restaurant that is favorite by Cebuanos. The Filipino-Mexican restaurant has certainly earned a reputation for serving great food, in fact, they already have 5 branches in Cebu alone. Diners can start off with appetizers such as Gambas ala Luna, Gambas al Ajillo, Calamares fritos, Beef Salpicao, Crispy Chili Squid Head, Garlicky Mushroom, Tocino Strips, Tapa Strips, and Sisig.

Quick Tip : Although the restaurant serves the best tasting Mexican food, Mooon Cafe was awarded last year as the restaurant that serves the Best Sisig in the country. The votes are gathered from Sooo Pinoy Facebook Page and tallied by Unilever Food Solutions.

Whats with their Pork Sisig? – Its made from Chopped pork mask and pork liver sauteed onion, chili hot sauce, calamansi juice, Topped with cheese and fresh egg, served in a sizzling plate. Im still full when we arrived in the restaurant and I just want to try their Sisig Burrito but after tasting their Sisig – I ended up asking for a cup of rice. Im not a huge fan of Sisig so I cant really compare it with Sisig from other popular restaurants but If I’ll be ask to vote for best Sisig in town at that moment. I’ll definitely vote for Mooon Cafe’s Sisig.

During our visit last Wednesday, they also served their new Sisig Burrito – Mooon Café’s latest Filipino-Mexican dish. This is a combination of everyone’s favorite Filipino delicacy and a scrumptious Mexican staple. Reasonably priced at P 140 per order, this comes with red pepper filled with delicious cheese pimento on the side. Now you know that sisig need not always be served on a hot sizzling plate, for this Sisig Burrito is actually a unique way of eating it.

If in case you are really looking for spicy Mexican food such as Chimichanga, Quesadilla Uno, Quesadilla Veracruz, Beef Burito, Campesinos, Nacho de Salsa, Beef Taco, Fish Taco, Burrito Pescado, Campesinos Jalapeno, Chicken Flautas, and Nacho Spinners, then you have to visit the restaurant and pick your favorite food.
