Smoke Restaurant: Sooo Pinoy Food Trip na Pilipinas!

March 15, 2012 – Sooo Pinoy Food Tour Day 4 in Boracay – Previous Post: Le Soleil Beach Cafe.

I cant believe I survived 3 days of non-stop eating. On our Day 4, our first stop was in Smoke Restaurant located at the back alley where you can find the D’mall wet market. It might not have the best view and cozy ambiance but this is the favorite restaurant of most of the tourists who have extensively experienced Boracay’s food scene.

2011 Best Batangas Bulalo

One thing that everyone like about this restaurant is its affordable meal prices. Because of its popularity, the restaurant opened another branch in D’mall to serve more regular and new customers.

Kao Pad

Smoke Resto is known for its breakfast menu and famous Pinoy dishes. They first served one of their best selling Kao Pad – a popular thai food made of bagoong rice and topped with sweet sauteed pork, green mango and egg omelet.

Spicy Garlic Kangkong

I also liked their Tortang Talong – one of my favorite recipes for eggplant. Their Spicy Garlic Kangkong is one of the best ginisang kangkong I’ve tasted, its a little bit spicy with just enough soy sauce, sesame seeds, crispy fried garlic and chili.

Sinigang na Hipon

The restaurant owner Rea Anchores told us that they may not be able to serve Bulalo for all of us so we sampled small servings of their famous Batangas Bulalo.

Smoke Resto Boracay

Smokes very own Batangas Bulalo won as Best Bulalo in 2011 in a poll conducted by Unilever Food Solutions for Sooo Pinoy! campaign.
