Located at Salinas Drive at the Lower Lobby of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino is Cruise Ship themed restaurant called Port Seafoods Restaurant – the second restaurant we visited on the second day of our Cebu Sooo Pinoy Food Tour.
Chicken Binakol
Should you be in Cebu and desire superior seafood then you’re in luck, Port Restaurant is just in the heart of the City. Being in a secured and quiet hotel compound, this is a relaxing place where you can enjoy the ocean’s bounty. The restaurant is owned and managed by Mr. Edward Hayco and Mrs. Eleanor Hayco. The couple loves to go on cruise trips which explains why the restaurant’s interior design has a look and feel of dining inside a cruise ship.
Pineapple Rice
They served Chicken Binakol and Pineapple Rice. I have tried Chicken Binakol so many times already but their version is quite interesting. I love the gingery taste and the young coconut strips adds more sweetness to the broth, Yeah Pinoy’s love sweet food no matter what it is. What makes their Binakol unique is how they serve it. I was confused at first when they served Fresh Coconut Shell in my table and i thought it was just a buko juice but to my surprise, the Binakol soup was actually inside the shell… I just love it:)
Port Restaurant in Cebu City
Their Pineapple Rice is also good, It was made of non meat fried rice with Pineapple bits.. A perfect recipe for health concious people. Among the best selling dishes in the restaurant are Sizzling Bangus, Kare Kare, Sizzling Squid, Pizza and Pasta according to the restaurant manager.
When it comes to Buffet, The Port Seafoods Restaurant is probably the most famous in the City. You can also enjoy various delightful Asian dishes that is always available during lunch and dinner. Lunch Buffet is for only P199 while the Buffet dinner is also available just for P299 and the price is exclusive of drinks.
The Port Seafoods Restaurant is best recommended for people who love seafoods but for people who has allergies with seafood, pork and other meat are also served in the restaurant.
